creating worlds
I create strange beings to populate my imaginary worlds. One may note a face but it is not like anyone from everyday life. A “person” may sprout wings or extra eyes. A landscape may be covered in flora and fauna not of our waking world. It’s a wonderfully weird adventure.
Creativity requires the courage to let go of certainties.

Working in just one medium has always felt somehow limiting, and I’ve always gravitated toward mixed media. Acrylic paint, inks, pencil, pastel, charcoal, canvas, wood, paper… whatever the piece tells me it needs,
I want to work with that.
The pleasure of creating from imagination is the freedom it brings. There are no hard and fast rules. I enjoy creating these worlds and invite you to visit them and stay a while.
